Constitution - Day 1

We followed this video with a writing activity, creating our own version of the Preamble to the Constitution. Each person selected one phrase from the Preamble, and then used it as the first line of a new piece of writing (poem, paragraph). The focus could be on the United States or any other issue each person imagined. We shared these in a collective read-around of the Preamble, inserting the new pieces of writing into the text.
